StarTek, Inc. Data Breach

Levi & Korsinsky, LLP is investigating potential claims against StarTek, a customer engagement business process outsourcing company, relating to a recent data breach that exposed personal information it was entrusted to maintain and secure. Specifically, StarTek determined that the company experienced a data security event involving an unauthorized party gaining access to the company’s computer systems and removing certain data. According to a company news release, StarTek, Inc. experienced a “network disruption,” and, after conducting a follow-up investigation, the StarTek concluded that an unauthorized party gained access to and obtained data from the StarTek network without authorization. This information included the first names, last names, Social Security numbers, and dates of birth of the affected parties.
