The U.S. Department of Justice filed a complaint on May 1, 2025, against insurance broker organizations, including CVS, alleging that “insurers paid hundreds of millions of dollars in illegal kickbacks to the defendant brokers in exchange for enrollments in the insurers’ Medicare Advantage plans.”
Following this news, the price of CVS shares declined to close at $67.46 per share on the same day.
